About Hold To Crypto
Hold To Crypto is a small independent site about the unglamorous side of holding crypto for the long term: custody that survives a decade, supply schedules that decide what a token does to you while you wait, the difference between stablecoins that share a price and nothing else, and what an exchange outage tells you about the venue holding your funds.
The writing here starts from a simple position. Deciding what to hold gets almost all the attention, and the mechanics of how you hold it get almost none — yet the mechanics are where most people actually lose money, usually to accidents rather than to markets.
There are no price predictions and no trade signals. Posts are written to still be useful in two years, which rules out most of what gets published about this subject. A market snapshot on the homepage comes from CoinGecko's public data and is there for reference, not as a recommendation.
The site is split in two on purpose. Notes explain how something works and link to nothing you can buy. Guides are the practical half — how to buy, store or move things — and those sometimes link to products, where a link that earns us anything is labelled as such on the link itself. No ranking is for sale and there is no paid placement; how this site is funded sets out the whole arrangement.
New notes go up occasionally. No newsletter, no account required, no comments to moderate. Corrections are welcome and made in place — the contact page explains how.
